China attracts 172 groups at 2010 Shanghai Expo

Oct. 9, 2007 (China Knowledge) ¨C China has attracted a total of 172 countries and international organizations to Shanghai World Expo 2010, three months earlier than scheduled, as stated on its official website on Monday. 
In fact, China expects approximately 200 nations and organizations to join the fair, a target for the next year, two years ahead of the big event. At present, Ukraine, Hungary and Switzerland have signed the contracts with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, which cover detailed information regarding pavilion scale, activities and exhibition arrangements. 
During the period, the government plans to enhance the relationship between foreign Expo participants and local communities, by allowing foreigners to enjoy domestic traditional food and folk games in a homely atmosphere. 
Meanwhile, Chinese enterprises will not miss the great opportunity to advertise by offering sponsors to the event, which may include Shanghai Food Future Garment Co., Ltd and Yuneyao Group.
